Besnik Vasolli, who was recently appointed as the Executive Director of the German-Kosovar Chamber of Commerce (OEGJK), emphasized the Chamber’s new vision and its commitment to supporting Kosovar-German businesses. He also called on the diaspora to collaborate in the development of the private sector.
Vasolli, who oversees the Chamber with more than 200 Kosovar-German companies from various industries, discussed the importance of the Chamber in assisting the country’s industry during an appearance on RTK. He highlighted that the Chamber plays a crucial role in fostering economic growth and investment in Kosovo.
He announced that there are German companies already investing in Kosovo, with others showing interest in doing so. “Since 2017, over 100 companies have expressed interest in investing in Kosovo. In 2024 alone, we supported more than 85 German companies to invest here,” Vasolli said during the “Good Morning Kosovo” program, expressing optimism about the Chamber’s potential to achieve even more in the future.
Vasolli also outlined the Chamber’s role as a mediator between Kosovar and German businesses, stating that it facilitates investment opportunities. “If a German investor is interested in Kosovo, we are here to support them,” he clarified, adding that the Chamber also acts as a promoter for investments, working to encourage German investors to view Kosovo as an attractive destination for business.
