During an official visit to Kazakhstan, North Macedonia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs held talks with his Kazakh counterpart, Murat Nurtleu, to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The two officials discussed prospects for intensifying overall collaboration between the two countries, including the organization of high-level visits and the convening of the third round of political consultations in Skopje.
Both sides agreed there is significant potential for deepening ties, particularly in the economic sphere, through increased trade and the attraction of foreign direct investment. They also expressed mutual satisfaction with the strong multilateral cooperation and exchanged views on current regional and global issues.
As a concrete step forward in bilateral relations, the two foreign ministries signed a Cooperation Programme for the period 2025–2027.
