Greek police have identified two more Turkish nationals as suspects in the fatal shooting of two men in the southern Athens suburb of Glyfada in December, authorities said on Saturday.
One suspect is in custody in Turkey, while the other remains at large, according to a Hellenic Police statement.
Six people have been arrested so far in connection with the attack, which took place on December 9 in the Terpsithea area of Glyfada. Gunmen opened fire on three Turkish men near an Opap Play betting shop, triggering a chase through nearby streets. Two were killed and a third wounded.
Police recovered 25 shell casings from the scene.
The victims are believed to have been members of the Turkish “Bayagalar” gang, while the suspects are linked to a rival criminal group. The two organizations are reportedly involved in a turf war over drug, weapon, and migrant trafficking in Turkey.
