The country has established itself as a strong brand and a mature destination for high-end tourism, moving beyond its earlier competition with Turkey and Egypt.

Greece ranks among the top five travel preferences for major European markets, according to a GWI survey. It is the third most popular destination for Germans planning trips abroad in the next 12 months, fourth for the French, fifth for Britons, and seventh for Spaniards.
