South East European University (SEEU) in Tetovo signed a tripartite memorandum on Thursday with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) and the Youth Educational Forum (YEF) to launch and promote the British Parliamentary Debate program.
The agreement was signed by SEEU Rector Prof. Dr. Sadudin Ibraimi, together with representatives of WFD and YEF. The initiative is part of the “Practice Democracy” project, supported by the British Embassy.
“This program gives students unique opportunities to develop critical thinking, public speaking and structured argumentation skills, while also taking part in international debate competitions,” YEF said in a statement.
Students will be mentored by Faculty of Law professors Albana Metaj and Fjolla Kaprolli, trained by WFD, while SEEU’s Debate Club will be student-led to ensure continuity with new generations.
