The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, after the meeting of the European Political Community, which was held in Prague, also gave details about the request he had to the European countries to help the countries of the Western Balkans in terms of overcoming the energy crisis.

Rama told the Albanian media that the good news is that in his request addressed to the President of the Commission a few weeks ago, it was accepted that the Ministers of Energy of our region be called to the extraordinary Ministerial that will take place in Prague.

“It has been agreed that the ministers of energy of our region will be called to the extraordinary Ministerial that will take place in Prague, with all the ministers of energy to address the issue of the energy crisis as a European issue and not as a mere issue of the Union European. Meanwhile, at the round table that I was together with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, the main focus was exactly the energy crisis and how our countries, starting with the countries that have opened negotiations for membership, will be able to be helped directly, while I I insisted that there should be no differences here and that all countries, all six countries, should be included, regardless of whether they have opened negotiations or not,” said Rama.

Rama was also asked if the new Political Community will serve the same as the Open Balkans and what will be the main focus?

“The energy crisis cannot be divided into parts, the climate crisis cannot be divided into parts, the demographic crisis cannot be divided into parts and so on. For this reason, more and more, the future brings us together problems because we are in a new era of risk. We have come out of the age of secure prospect and into the age of danger, and this age of danger has drawn them all together and has actually urged and is urging them to come closer together, because of the inflation of war and because of all the consequences of a war that we did not start, but that we cannot avoid coming to us, in the form of war inflation, in the form of rubles in dirty hands that try to confuse affairs and definitely in the form of skyrocketing energy prices. There, listening to colleagues about the increases made and about the increases that are expected to be made, it was really shocking and about the impossibility not to continue the price increase, while we will continue to insist in Albania that the prices for family members, for small business”, he said./ Kosova Press
