Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, also leader of the winning party Vetëvendosje, has concluded a series of consultative meetings with minority community parties regarding the formation of new institutions. The final meeting was held with the Party of Ashkali Integration, led by Etem Arifi, alongside newly elected Ashkali MP Artan Asllani.
The discussions focused on steps towards forming institutions in the ninth legislature and cooperation in this process. Both sides agreed on the importance of constituting the Assembly and forming the government without delay, in response to the citizens’ will for development and progress expressed in the February 9 parliamentary elections.
Earlier, Kurti met with Adem Hoxha, the leader of the Gorani community’s Party of the Unique Gorani, and a newly elected MP.
According to a government statement, the importance of the Assembly’s constitutive session on April 15 was emphasized in the process of forming the institutions of the ninth legislature, along with the role of political parties in fulfilling the will of the citizens expressed on February 9.
Throughout the day, Kurti, together with Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi, met with elected MPs and political representatives from other minority communities. This marked the second day of meetings, scheduled following the announcement by President Vjosa Osmani of the April 15 date for the constitutive session.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Parliament Speaker Glauk Konjufca is set to meet with political leaders from all parties that secured seats in the parliamentary elections.
