Kosovo’s acting Deputy Prime Minister and chief negotiator in talks with Serbia, Besnik Bislimi, is set to meet European Union envoy Peter Sorensen in Brussels on Monday, a government advisor said.
Klisman Kadiu, an advisor to Bislimi, confirmed the meeting to KosovaPress but gave no further details, including whether a trilateral meeting involving Serbian counterpart Petar Petković would take place.
“Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi is meeting with envoy Sorensen today in Brussels,” Kadiu said.
The meeting follows last week’s visit to Kosovo and Serbia by the EU’s new foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, who called for a renewed push to implement the 2023 Brussels Agreement and the Ohrid Annex, and to relaunch stalled dialogue between the two sides.
