Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani said on Friday she would visit Malaysia next week following the country’s decision to lift visa requirements for Kosovo citizens for stays of up to 30 days, KosovaPress reported.
“Ahead of my official visit to Malaysia next week, I am deeply grateful to the Malaysian authorities for their decision to grant visa exemptions for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo,” Osmani wrote on social media platform X.
She said the move, along with the planned opening of Kosovo’s embassy in Kuala Lumpur, reflected strengthening ties between the two countries.
“I look forward to engaging with state leaders next week as we work together to deepen our cooperation and advance the shared interests of our people,” Osmani said.
Kosovo’s Foreign Ministry also welcomed the visa waiver, which was approved by Malaysia’s government, and thanked Malaysian authorities for their continued support.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Donika Gërvalla said the decision would help strengthen bilateral relations and better serve the citizens of both countries.
