The civil society organization Demokracia në Veprim (DnV) has published preliminary results from Kosovo’s parliamentary elections, with 98% of votes counted. The results indicate that Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s LVV is leading with 40.04% of the vote, followed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) with 21.7%, the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) with 17.5%, and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) with 7.2%.

The Central Election Commission (KQZ) has faced technical difficulties with its online platform, citing high traffic as the cause of system overload. KQZ spokesperson Valmir Elezi stated that official results will be published once data is fully collected from polling stations.

Kosovo police reported a peaceful election day with no major incidents, though authorities confirmed that eight individuals were detained for election-related offenses.

The elections are seen as a key test for Kurti’s government, which has faced challenges in its relations with Serbia and ongoing domestic economic concerns. Official results from KQZ are expected in the coming days.
