Former Slovenian president and prime minister Borut Pahor was hospitalized after falling from a bicycle during a descent from Pasja Ravan in Slovenia, local media reported.
Pahor, an enthusiastic cyclist, said on Instagram that he had suffered fractures to his collarbone and shoulder blade.
“A hard fall during a cycling descent from Pasja Ravan. Broken collarbone and shoulder blade. Everything is fine, I left the emergency room in the evening, and today I am already in the office for a meeting with the new young UN delegate,” Pahor wrote alongside a photo from a hospital bed.
Pasja Ravan is a hilly area and mountain pass in western Slovenia, near Ljubljana, popular among cyclists and hikers because of its steep climbs and descents.
The post initially worried his followers, but Pahor later shared another photo showing him smiling while wearing orthopedic support. He thanked everyone who helped him after the accident.
