Theoharis Theoharis, Greece’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) headquarters in Sarajevo on Tuesday, where he met with RCC Secretary General Amer Kapetanović.
The officials discussed boosting regional cooperation in Southeast Europe, including the 30th anniversary of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), implementation of the SEE2030 Strategy, EU integration efforts, and reforms under the EU Growth Plan.
Kapetanović highlighted the role of regional cooperation in promoting stability, economic growth, and tangible benefits for citizens. “Through platforms such as SEECP, strategic frameworks like SEE2030, the Common Regional Market Action Plan, and the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, the RCC works to turn political commitment into practical cooperation and measurable progress,” he said.
Theoharis reiterated Greece’s strong support for RCC initiatives, emphasizing dialogue, mutual trust, and shared responsibility. He said closer coordination among regional states and alignment with EU policies are key to sustainable development and long-term prosperity.
The discussions also focused on accelerating reform priorities, improving coordination between regional and EU partners, and strengthening cooperation within SEECP.
The visit underscores the ongoing partnership between Greece and the RCC, and their shared commitment to regional cooperation, sustainable development, and growth in Southeast Europe.
