Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska, the Serb-dominated entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has launched another verbal attack on opposition parties in the RS and the Federation’s ruling “Trojka” coalition, accusing them of deepening the country’s political crisis.
Dodik, who is under a central arrest warrant issued by Bosnia’s judiciary, reiterated his long-standing criticism of the Office of the High Representative (OHR), calling for its departure from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He said the institution and its representatives have undermined international agreements rather than upholding them.
“They have implemented political agendas instead of protecting the provisions of the Dayton Peace Agreement. Every high representative has worked to dismantle it,” Dodik said during a visit to Gradiška.
He accused the RS opposition of betrayal for agreeing to attend an upcoming political meeting, claiming it would legitimize international pressure on Republika Srpska.
“They think everything starts and ends with them. Sadly, things only end with them—nothing begins,” Dodik said. “By attending that meeting, they are encouraging the radical segment of the international community to continue harmful policies toward the RS.”
Dodik further alleged that the opposition was taking instructions from foreign actors, branding them “mere servants.”
“That narrative is just an excuse to cover their betrayal. Some foreign actor must have told them this so they wouldn’t collapse politically. But they’re nothing more than subordinates,” he said.
He also reaffirmed his rejection of Christian Schmidt’s authority as High Representative, a stance he has long held.
“I’ve said it before and I stand by it. That position is illegal and unconstitutional. Because I’ve spoken the truth—clearly, legally, and with evidence—I’m being persecuted through an unlawful court and subjected to sanctions in some EU countries,” he added.
