The Defence Exhibition Athens 2025 (DEFEA) will take place from May 6 to 8 at the Metropolitan Expo Athens, under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defence, organisers said on Friday.
The event will feature 436 exhibitors from 37 countries, 18 national pavilions, and 98 official delegations from 45 countries.
Companies will present the latest technologies and innovations in defence and security across land, sea, air, cyberspace, and space domains. Exhibits will include helicopters, tanks, armoured vehicles, multiple launchers, artillery systems, communications equipment, small arms, ammunition, guided missiles, and strategic weapons.
Among the highlights will be the “Achilles’ Shield,” a five-layer defence system, and a range of unmanned platforms (UAVs, USVs, and UUVs) and counter-swarm technologies.
Greek participation will include the Ministry of National Defence, the General Directorate for Defence Investments and Armaments (GDDIA), the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, the Hellenic Police, the Fire Brigade, the Coast Guard, and the Ministry of Development.
DEFEA 2025 will also showcase for the first time cutting-edge weapon systems and artificial intelligence applications, organisers said.
