Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama is in Greece for a two-day tour meeting with the Albanian diaspora, campaigning ahead of the May 11 parliamentary elections, where emigrants will vote for the first time.

On Friday, Rama held a meeting with Albanians working and living on the island of Crete, reiterating his call to vote for the Socialist Party as the only way to continue the country’s integration into the European Union and secure European passports.

In a social media post, Rama announced he will be in Athens on Saturday afternoon. He is scheduled to hold a meeting with Albanians in Athens at 17:00 local time in the Tavros area at the “Elinikos Kosmos” Cultural Center.
