Albania’s hospitality, transport and real estate sectors posted strong growth in the second quarter of 2025, driven by a surge in tourist arrivals and rising demand, the National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) said on Wednesday.
Net sales volumes jumped 14.5% in hotels, 10.4% in transport and 9.1% in bars and restaurants compared with the same quarter a year earlier, according to INSTAT’s Short-Term Statistics and Services Report.
Real estate activity rose 11%, supported by property demand along the Adriatic coast from foreign buyers and Albanians living abroad.
The hospitality industry recorded the fastest job growth in the service sector, up 8.7%, compared with an overall increase ranging from 0.7% to 3.7%.
Wages also climbed, led by hotels at 25.2%, real estate at 18.4% and bars and restaurants at 12%.
