Turkish defense software company Havelsan and United Arab Emirates-based aerospace firm Calidus have signed an agreement to develop a pilot training ecosystem for the Calidus B-250 light attack and training aircraft, the companies said.
The deal was signed in July at the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF) 2025 in Istanbul. Havelsan will provide a full range of integrated training systems covering all stages of flight.
The package will include a flight simulator with advanced dynamics to recreate real mission scenarios, partial mission simulators for critical maneuvers, and a cockpit entry and exit device for emergency training. A briefing and debriefing station will allow pilots to plan missions, analyse performance and conduct evaluations.
The systems, supported by a digital training infrastructure, will be installed at Calidus facilities in the UAE. Havelsan said the setup would enable pilots to train on the entire operational profile of the B-250 before flying the aircraft.
“This project marks our strong commitment to developing human-centred, integrated and reliable systems,” Havelsan General Manager Mehmet Akif Nacar said in a statement.
Calidus CEO Khalifa Murad Al Balooshi said Havelsan’s technology would provide B-250 users with advanced, future-proof training capabilities, adding that the agreement laid the foundation for a long-term strategic partnership.
