Passengers departing from Tirana International Airport (TIA) to Schengen countries can now travel using only an electronic boarding pass on their mobile devices, without the need for a printed version, the airport operator said on Friday.

Tirana Airport Partners, which manages TIA, said the new policy aims to make travel faster, easier, and more convenient for passengers.

“Passengers only need to have their electronic boarding pass on their phone and scan it at security and at the boarding gate,” the operator said in a statement.

The move aligns with broader digitalization efforts at European airports, reducing paper waste while streamlining passenger processing.
