Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretary General Amer Kapetanović met with Serbia’s Foreign Minister Marko Đurić and Minister for European Integration Nemanja Starović in Belgrade on Thursday.
During the meetings, both Serbian ministers reaffirmed their country’s support for the RCC’s mandate and its work to strengthen regional cooperation and stability.
Kapetanović and Đurić discussed broader regional relations, priorities for cooperation in 2026, and the RCC’s role as a platform for dialogue, coordination, and trust-building in the Western Balkans. Both officials highlighted the need for sustained regional engagement amid complex political and economic challenges.
In discussions with Starović, the focus was on Serbia’s EU integration, the role of regional cooperation in supporting the European path, and the implementation of the Common Regional Market under the EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans. The meeting underscored the importance of maintaining momentum on regional reforms and aligning initiatives with EU priorities.
Kapetanović stressed the RCC’s commitment to practical cooperation, delivering results that benefit citizens and economies, and facilitating dialogue on issues of shared interest.
