Prime Minister Albin Kurti met this morning with election observation teams from the European Union (EU) and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) to discuss the upcoming February 9 elections.
During the meeting, the discussions focused on ensuring a transparent and democratic electoral process. Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the importance of smooth election management, highlighting Kosovo’s commitment to upholding democratic principles.
The meeting also acknowledged progress in implementing recommendations from international partners to enhance the electoral process. Kosovo was commended for maintaining political pluralism and fostering an environment of open and fair competition.
Prime Minister Kurti expressed gratitude to the observation teams for their engagement and dedication to monitoring and supporting Kosovo’s democratic processes. “Your commitment to observing and supporting our elections strengthens the integrity of our democracy,” he stated.
The observation missions will continue to monitor the electoral preparations and the overall conduct of the elections to ensure compliance with international standards.
