Greek Defence Minister Nikos Dendias on Sunday praised the armed forces for delivering 8.5 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Gaza in an airdrop coordinated with Jordanian authorities.
The operation, carried out by two air force transport planes — a C-130H and a C-27J — and supported by special forces, was monitored in real time by the National Operations Centre, Dendias said in a post on social media platform X.
“Our armed forces are present in every effort to alleviate human suffering,” he wrote.
The mission was organised by Greece’s defence and foreign ministries in cooperation with Jordan, he added.
