From flija to qebapa, traditional Kosovar cuisine has left a lasting impression on Germans living in Kosovo. The German Embassy in Kosovo has highlighted five traditional dishes that its staff enjoys in the country, KosovaPress reported.
One embassy employee mentioned that qebapa is his go-to meal on Fridays after work, while Ambassador Jorn Rohde expressed his appreciation for flija.
“I enjoyed learning how to make flija. It was a very good experience,” Rohde said, according to KosovaPress.
Traditional sweets also made the list. One embassy staff member singled out tespishte as her favorite dessert.
“One of the perks of being a diplomat is enjoying global flavors. Our Embassy team, including Ambassador Rohde, is hooked on Kosovar cuisine. From mouth-watering qebapa to delicious flija, discover five traditional dishes from the region that our colleagues love. Celebrate the rich and diverse flavors of Kosovo with us,” the German Embassy in Kosovo said in a Facebook post, KosovaPress reported.
