A four-year-old boy who went missing during a family holiday at the Albanian coastal resort of Golem was found unharmed after an intensive search lasting several hours, local media reported.
The child disappeared earlier on Wednesday while staying with his family near the Alto Mare area of the resort, prompting an urgent search by police, residents and beachgoers.
His mother, identified by local media as Sanja, appealed publicly for help after the family lost sight of him.
Officers from the local police station joined tourists and residents in searching the resort and surrounding area.
The boy was later found within the resort grounds and reunited with his parents, according to local media reports.
Authorities did not immediately provide details about where the child had been during his disappearance or how he was located.
Golem, located south of the port city of Durrës, is one of Albania’s most popular coastal destinations and attracts large numbers of visitors during the summer season.
