Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama held a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who thanked Albania for its ongoing support for Ukraine amid Russia’s invasion.
While Rama has yet to comment publicly on the call, Zelensky shared details on social media platform X.
“Had a good conversation with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama. I thank the Albanian government and people for their support of Ukraine and our nation. We discussed various topics, joint projects, and broader prospects,” Zelensky wrote.
The Ukrainian leader also stressed that Europe must have a seat at the table in discussions about the war’s end. His comments came after recent talks in Riyadh, where the United States and Russia participated but Ukraine and Europe were excluded.
“Everything concerning Europe must involve Europe, and everything concerning Ukraine must involve Ukraine. A shared vision and coordinated actions are essential for achieving a just and lasting peace. We are working together to strengthen security across Europe. Thank you for your support,” Zelensky concluded.
