Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama strongly condemned Iran’s reported air offensive against the United Arab Emirates (UAE), describing it as a “terrorist attack” and an act of unjustified aggression against a sovereign state.
In a post on the social platform X, Rama said Albania denounces “in the strongest terms” what he described as renewed missile and drone strikes by Iran, accusing Tehran of exporting violence and instability beyond its borders.
“Renewed missile attacks by the terrorist state of Iran against our brothers in the United Arab Emirates are a reckless, unprovoked and entirely unacceptable act of aggression,” Rama said.
He added that targeting the UAE — which he described as a country representing peace, progress and cooperation across religions and cultures — amounts to an attack not only on one state but on regional stability and broader global security.
Rama expressed Albania’s “full solidarity” with the leadership and people of the UAE, warning that attempts to intimidate nations through missile strikes would only deepen isolation and strengthen the resolve of those defending sovereignty and peace.
“Iran must bear full responsibility for this dangerous escalation, first and foremost to its own people, who remain hostage to a regime that continues to drive an ancient nation deeper into isolation, fear and self-destruction,” he said.
The statement comes amid heightened tensions in the Gulf region, with concerns growing over wider instability and risks to international security.
