Albania’s agricultural exports rose 9.1% in the first eight months of 2025 compared with a year earlier, Agriculture Minister Andis Salla said on Monday, citing government support measures and improvements in production standards and logistics.
Salla said the increase reflected the government’s long-term “Agriculture 2030” strategy, which aims to boost competitiveness and align the sector with European Union standards.
He attributed the rise to subsidies for farmers, infrastructure upgrades and investment to improve product quality and market access.
The growth is also supporting rural incomes and strengthening Albania’s agricultural value chain, Salla said, adding that the country aims to lift exports to 1 billion euros by 2030.
Albanian farm goods are now exported to 80 international markets, he said.
