Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani said on Friday the country had aligned its designation of foreign terrorist organizations with U.S. President Donald Trump’s executive orders, underscoring Pristina’s support for Washington’s fight against international crime and terrorism.
Osmani said she had issued a presidential decree adopting the U.S. list, which in January designated several international drug cartels and other criminal groups as foreign terrorist organizations.
“The Republic of Kosovo stands with the United States in the fight against transnational organized crime and terrorism, narco cartels and criminal regimes, because American leadership makes the world safer,” Osmani wrote on X.
She added that history showed “when America leads, there is more peace, more security and more freedom globally,” pledging that Kosovo would “always stand with the U.S. … to fight all those who endanger the national security of our most important ally.”
