The distribution of parliamentary seats in Kosovo is now clear following the counting of all regular polling station votes and ballots from the diaspora, whether via mail or diplomatic missions, election analyst Eugen Cakolli said on Tuesday.

“The allocation of mandates is now evident, and no further changes are expected,” Cakolli stated.

According to calculations, the final distribution of parliamentary seats is as follows:

  • LVV – 48 seats
  • PDK – 24 seats
  • LDK – 20 seats
  • AAK – 8 seats

Cakolli noted that conditional ballots are unlikely to impact the seat distribution unless an “entirely unexpected trend” emerges. “In all past elections, these votes have followed almost the same pattern as regular ballots, with a slight increase for the leading party,” he said.

The only potential shift, Cakolli explained, could occur if the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) secures over 20% of conditional votes, which might allow it to take a seat from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK). “However, such a trend shift has not occurred in previous elections,” he added.

“As a result, this will most likely be the final outcome of the elections,” Cakolli concluded.
