Dozens of dead livestock have been dumped into a stream in the village of Psar, in the municipality of Këlcyra, raising concerns among residents over environmental pollution and the potential spread of infections.
Images provided by local residents show animal carcasses scattered along the watercourse, prompting calls for urgent action by authorities to clean the area and identify those responsible.
The village head said the case had been reported to the relevant institutions and that immediate measures had been requested to prevent environmental and public health consequences.
Residents warned that high summer temperatures could worsen the situation by accelerating decomposition and increasing the risk of water contamination and the spread of disease.
Local authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
