The State Secretary at the Ministry of Youth and Demography, Fatmir Sabriu, held a meeting on Monday with Kelly McCaleb, Political Officer at the U.S. Department of State, where he presented the progress of social reforms and the government’s institutional priorities.
According to the statement, Sabriu outlined the ministry’s policies related to advancing the rights of persons with disabilities, expanding and improving social services, as well as the process of adopting the European Child Guarantee.
He emphasized that the reforms aim to create a more inclusive and sustainable system, including the establishment of youth centers in several municipalities, with the goal of empowering young people and increasing access to social services.
The meeting also addressed the capacity of institutions to manage and implement these reforms, including the need to strengthen human resources and improve inter-institutional coordination.
McCaleb underscored the importance of institutional cooperation and highlighted the role of effective governance in ensuring long-term change, the statement said.
The discussion focused on exchanging experiences and exploring opportunities to deepen cooperation in the field of social reforms and institutional governance.
