South East European University (SEEU) in Tetovo announced on Monday that Prof. Karen Westwood, a U.S.-based legal scholar and law library expert, has joined the university as a Fulbright Scholar for one year.

In her first meeting with Rector Prof. Dr. Sadudin Ibraimi and Adviser for International Relations Prof. Dr. Besa Arifi, Westwood was briefed on the university’s mission, priorities, and current developments, as well as her role during her stay in Tetovo, SEEU said.

During the academic year, she will teach Legal Methodology and work closely with the Max van der Stoel Institute, the University Library, and various faculties to introduce innovative approaches to teaching, research, and international collaboration.

Westwood holds a Juris Doctor (JD) from Hamline University School of Law (2007, Magna Cum Laude) and currently serves as Director of the Anne W. Grande Law Library in Hennepin County, Minnesota, where she manages the library’s staff, budget, and services.

SEEU said her extensive academic and professional experience is expected to make a significant contribution to university life during her tenure in Tetovo.
