Leaders of six Western Balkan countries met in London on Wednesday for a summit focused on migration, regional security and closer cooperation with the United Kingdom and the European Union.

The meeting brought together prime ministers and senior officials from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia, alongside British and EU representatives.

British officials said the talks were aimed at strengthening joint efforts to tackle illegal migration, organized crime and security challenges in the region, while also reinforcing economic and political ties.

The Western Balkans Summit is part of ongoing efforts to maintain engagement between the region and its European partners as the EU’s enlargement process continues to stall.
