Kosovo police arrested two individuals suspected of spreading terrorist propaganda and ideology during a pre-dawn operation on Thursday in the towns of Fushë Kosovë and Malishevë, authorities said.
The operation, led by the Counter-Terrorism Directorate in coordination with the Special Prosecution Office, involved three residential raids and resulted in the arrests of Alban Bibaj and Muhamet Musliu, who, according to Klankosova.tv sources, had been under surveillance for some time.
One of the suspects reportedly has family members who were killed in Syria, the same sources said. Further details are expected to be released from the prosecution’s case files.
“The suspects are accused of inciting division and intolerance, as well as disseminating propaganda through social media,” the Special Prosecution Office told Klankosova.tv. “The cases are being handled separately, and a request for pre-trial detention will be submitted within the legal timeframe.”
According to Kosovo Police, all future actions will be coordinated with judicial authorities.
Officials did not disclose the exact content of the propaganda but emphasized that the suspects are under investigation for activities potentially linked to extremist ideology.
