Representatives of the University of South East Europe (SEEU) participated in the Strategic Board Meeting of the ChallengeEU University Alliance, held in Valencia, highlighting the university’s ongoing commitment to advancing European cooperation in higher education, research, and innovation.
The SEEU delegation included Rector Prof. Dr. Sadudin Ibraimi, Rector’s Advisor Academician Prof. Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti, and Director of Finance and Human Resources Mr. Nebi Xhemali, M.Sc. The meeting brought together leadership representatives from member universities, student council representatives, and external experts to discuss strategic priorities and joint initiatives.
The Board focused on coordinating collaborative activities among member institutions, setting strategic goals, and strengthening partnerships in higher education, scientific research, innovation, and internationalization. Emphasis was placed on enhancing academic mobility, developing joint study programs, and increasing the global competitiveness of European universities.
The day began with a welcome coffee hosted by the Regional Secretary for Universities, Esther Gómez Martín, followed by a guided tour of the campus of Universidad Europea de Valencia, including the Faculty of Social Sciences and the School of Science, Engineering and Design. After a group photo, formal discussions took place, enriched by contributions from Annette Klinkert of City2Science and Anna Lindahl of Mid Sweden University (MIUN), highlighting the role of universities in regional development and the importance of student engagement in shaping European education policy.
SEEU’s participation in this high-level meeting reflects the university’s active role in shaping joint European initiatives aimed at improving academic quality, research collaboration, and international visibility.
The ChallengeEU Alliance brings together universities from across Europe, including institutions in Germany, France, Switzerland, Latvia, Sweden, Poland, Spain, and North Macedonia. Through this platform, SEEU contributes its academic and institutional expertise, further strengthening its position within the European Higher Education Area.
The Valencia meeting marked a significant step toward deepening partnerships and collaboratively shaping the future of European higher education through shared perspectives, strategic planning, and enhanced inter-university cooperation.
