German rock band Scorpions performed in Albania’s capital on Saturday night for the first time in 24 years, drawing thousands of fans to Skanderbeg Square.
The crowd sang along as the band played classics including Wind of Change and Still Loving You. Band members Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker, Matthias Jabs, Mikkey Dee and Paweł Mąciwoda performed a setlist of their best-known hits.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared photos of the event on social media, saying: “Tirana, the Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue, welcomes the legendary Scorpions after 24 years.”
Organisers reported a large turnout, with the central square packed with fans, highlighting the band’s enduring popularity in Albania.
The concert ended with extended applause and emotional reactions from the audience, marking what organisers called one of Tirana’s biggest rock events in recent years.
