NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte had a telephone conversation with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, where he said they discussed stability in the Western Balkans.

Rutte wrote on X on Monday that it is important “that we continue to work together to support stability in the entire Western Balkans.”

The NATO chief also mentioned the partnership with Serbia.

“It is very important that we continue to work together to support stability in the Western Balkans, including the partnership with Serbia,” Rutte said.

The Serbian president also announced the conversation with Rutte. Vučić wrote on Instagram that preserving peace is a priority interest of all people living in the region. He said that they emphasized “the importance of responsible and serious behavior.” Vučić said that he also presented the NATO official with his positions “on the situation in Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

“We have also arranged a meeting in Brussels within the next month,” Vučić’s announcement said.
