North Macedonia’s Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski will embark on a working visit to the United States, where he will attend the inauguration of newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, the government’s press office announced.
Mickoski will be accompanied by Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Timcho Mutsunski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Izet Mexhiti, and Deputy Minister for European Affairs Viktorija Trajkov.
The delegation, led by Mickoski, will also attend the “Voices of Freedom” celebration organized by Trump Media and Rumble, which is scheduled to take place following the inauguration.
“During his visit, Mickoski is expected to hold several bilateral meetings, establish contacts, and engage with members of the new U.S. administration. He will also meet with business leaders of Macedonian origin to discuss economic cooperation and potential investments in North Macedonia,” the statement said.
This will mark the second inauguration for Trump, who will serve as the 47th president of the United States. The ceremony at the Capitol is expected to draw numerous heads of state, prime ministers, and leaders of global organizations. Trump’s first term as president ran from January 20, 2017, to January 20, 2021.
