Kosovo’s acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, met on Thursday with former Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović in Pristina, Kurti’s office said.
Đukanović reportedly congratulated Kurti on his electoral victory and highlighted the importance of democratic processes and public support for his vision of governance.
The leaders also discussed regional and global developments, focusing on security issues and dynamics affecting the Western Balkans.
“Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the government’s commitment to improving good-neighborly relations, achieving lasting peace, and strengthening regional cooperation to promote security and the European perspective of the region,” Kurti’s office said.
The new government intends to continue pursuing Euro-Atlantic integration, with priorities including economic development, citizens’ well-being, and security, the statement added.
Đukanović also commented on the meeting on X, describing it as a brief, friendly discussion during his transit through Pristina.
“In a friendly conversation, we exchanged views on current processes in the Western Balkans and globally, with particular attention to matters of regional security,” Đukanović wrote.
