Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani said on Thursday that authorities received specific intelligence in late May indicating Serbia’s alleged efforts to destabilise Kosovo.
“At the end of May, we received specific information. Serbia’s lies are part of their ongoing propaganda,” Osmani told a press conference. “I assure citizens there is no need for panic. Serbia’s threats are continuous, but our institutions have everything under control.”
She said the public had been informed of these threats, referencing recent statements made by acting Defence Minister Ejup Maqedonci.
Osmani also spoke about her recent visit to the United States, where she said she held “exceptionally important” meetings. “It was reaffirmed in those meetings that the United States views Kosovo as a strategic ally,” she said.
