Kosovo’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora (MFAD) expressed support on Saturday for the U.S. military strike against Iran, calling the Iranian regime a long-standing oppressor of its people and a destabilizing force in the region.
In a statement posted on Facebook, the ministry said it stands “with President Donald Trump in efforts to restrain regimes that threaten free peoples, uphold global stability, and support the legitimate aspirations of the Iranian people for freedom, dignity, and democracy.”
The ministry added that governments that oppress their citizens, promote violence against democratic nations, or threaten other peoples cannot be agents of peace. It emphasized that liberty, human rights, and the rule of law are universal values that must be defended.
“Accordingly, we remain resolutely opposed to the Iranian regime and in support of President Trump, expressing solidarity with the Iranian people for a free and democratic future,” the statement concluded.
Kosovo’s government statements follow coordinated U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iranian targets in Tehran, which have drawn international reactions and heightened tensions in the Middle East.
