ROME, Feb 10 – Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani will chair a ministerial meeting on Saturday with Western Balkan countries and the “Friends of the Western Balkans” group at Villa Madama, aiming to boost regional security and accelerate EU integration, Nova Italia reported.
The meeting will bring together representatives from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia, alongside officials from Italy, Austria, Croatia, Greece, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
EU High Representative Kaja Kallas and Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos will also attend, with Tajani holding bilateral talks to advance the EU accession process for the region.
“The stability of the Western Balkans is a priority for the Italian government,” Tajani said, according to Nova Italia.
Discussions will focus on setting priorities for 2025 to enhance cooperation and integration efforts.
