ATHENS, March 1 – Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama traveled to Greece on Friday ahead of a job fair in Athens, where he is set to meet with Albanian expatriates and promote employment opportunities in Albania.

In a video posted on Facebook, Rama said the event marks the first time Albania is reaching out to its diaspora in Greece with job offers featuring competitive salaries and low taxes.

“Yesterday, Albanians crossed the border in search of work. Tomorrow, Albania’s business sector will cross the border to showcase job opportunities back home,” Rama said.

“This is the first time Albania is knocking on the doors of Albanians in Greece, saying, ‘Come back, we have jobs for you—with reasonable salaries and low taxes,’” he added.

Rama invited attendees to meet business representatives from various industries at the job fair and explore employment contracts available in Albania. “Then, you can judge for yourselves what is best for you,” he said.
