Milorad Dodik, leader of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), said following the party’s Presidency meeting that they are “not ready for any concessions” and will reject anything not in line with the original Dayton Agreement.
Dodik also denied that SNSD was responsible for the political crisis in the country.
He emphasized the party’s stance on “nullifying imposed solutions” by Christian Schmidt, whom he described as “an illegal individual.”
Addressing security matters, Dodik reassured the public, stating that the situation remains stable with no significant security challenges. However, he noted an increase in traffic accidents, urging drivers to adhere to regulations and calling for heightened police controls in the Republika Srpska (RS).
While the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) has made several arrests in RS and Banja Luka despite a ban on its operations in the entity, Dodik said that SIPA’s activities had visibly decreased in the region.
Dodik welcomed public discussions on a new constitution, which are taking place across RS, and supported a referendum initiative that he believes would provide real legitimacy and strength to the new document.
The Prime Minister’s office has yet to comment on these developments.
