A 25-year-old Albanian man and a 31-year-old Latvian woman have been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a man in Gravesend, Kent police said on Saturday.
Officers were called on Tuesday evening to reports of a disturbance outside a house on Augustine Road. A man in his 30s was found with stab wounds and later died in hospital, police said. His family has been informed.
The suspects, identified as Shahim Bulica, from Albania, and Erika Korska, from Latvia, were arrested in Gravesend around midnight on Thursday. Both were charged with murder on Saturday and remain in custody. They are due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
A 33-year-old man from Gravesend who was also arrested in connection with the incident has been released without charge.
Police appealed for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
