Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama drew laughter from European leaders on Thursday with a surprise video played during the welcome ceremony of the European Political Community Summit.
The video, created using artificial intelligence, portrayed European leaders as children greeting attendees in their native languages with the phrase: “Welcome to Albania.”
The clip was shown at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Tirana, where the summit’s opening event was held. The light-hearted gesture was met with laughter and applause from those present.
Rama’s use of humour and technology offered a warm and unconventional welcome to the high-level gathering.
